Apple Gabriel

Regarded as one of the most endearing voices in Roots Reggae music, Albert Craig, aka Apple Gabriel (born in 1956), is ready to set sail with a treasure trove of unreleased musical magic! Since his creation of Israel Vibration in the early 1970s, and with the tremendous success of The Same Song album in 1976, Apple has been the driving force of conscious, roots reggae music ever since. The author of classic reggae tunes such as, Lift Up Your Conscience, In The Jungle, Walk The Streets Of Glory, Why You So Craven, On Jah Solid Rock, Middle East, There is No End, Falling Angels, Mud Up and Grammy nominated; Rude Boy Shuffling, Apple's track record of musical genius speaks for itself. With his strong solo career, Apple Gabriel not only brings to mind his powerful work with Israel Vibration, but still, he continues to appeal to both new and old fans alike. 

It's been seven years since Apple Gabriel has released a new album. In 2010, his Teach Them Right record won the respect and adoration of many in the reggae universe, and many in the reggae community feel it should have received a Grammy Award for best reggae album. Reggaeville.com hailed it as,

“One of the top ten best reggae albums since the late 1960s.” Wordpress.com called his follow-up solo recording to his equally acclaimed, Another Moses as, "Quality roots reggae. The arrangements are bluesy and jazzy without ever losing their reggae roots. Apple Gabriel sounds like he did back in the 70's." Well, here we are in the new year of 2018, with the lead voice of Israel Vibration not only sounding better than ever, but also harnessing an arsenal of fresh material ready to unleash to his millions of devoted fans worldwide. There is truly only a handful of reggae legends left here on earth to carry the genre of reggae music to the heights it so rightfully deserves. 

The time has come for Apple's new project to come to fruition, for him to explode onto the music scene again with a selection of songs which showcase his one-of-a-kind, bionic-signature, lead vocal sound that has separated himself from the pack since his early beginnings at The Alpha Boys School in Jamaica where the famed Skatalites formed their legendary band. Apple's new material revitalizes reggae music back to life with a collection of songs that are a fusion of Motown, Rhythm and Blues, Doo-Wop, and of course classic Roots Reggae. 

UPDATE: On March 23, Apple entered the Kingdom of the Most High. His story is yet to be told. On May 1 2020, tune back to this site for the real story of the King Apple Gabriel. This is just the begining of the Legend's legacy. There is no end to a good thing.
